Who Cares? Gaming News
Welcome to the first, and most likely only, installment of Who Cares? Gaming News. In order to write this sub-par gaming blog I have to read a lot of gaming news. It’s nice that the internet can provide much more gaming news items than a magazine ever could, but the good thing going for the magazines that I only had when I was growing up (I’m very old) is that they cut out a lot of the fat. For every interesting article, there’s about ten thousand posts that I couldn’t give a monkey thrown crap about. Here’s a couple that I ran across recently:
Sneak peek at Blizzcon’s Pass: Oh man, thanks for posting this. I can finally get some sleep tonight.
EA to Deliver Trivial Pursuit Across PC, Consoles and Mobile Platforms: Really? *Yawn* No, Really, tell me more. I’m listening.
British Sales Charts: Because I really need to know if Fifa 09 holds the top three spots. Pssst… IT DOES!
NBA 2K9 Soundtrack Revealed: Why are there so many rap songs on this game!? Oh that’s right, black people like basketball!
Resistance 2 Trophies Revealed: Does anyone care about PS3 Trophies? Anyone?
Should Xbox Live Be Free Like PSN?: I’m not going to read an editorial that can be answered in one word by everyone on the planet that speaks English, “yes.”
Working Calculator Constructed in Little Big Planet: I’m already sick of the “crazy” or “cool” things can can be made in Little Big Planet, but not as sick as I grew about hearing about the latest “crazy” or “cool” retarded creature made in Spore.
And there you have it, me being a jerk for 265 words. I hope you enjoyed it, if not well I don’t really care.

Xbox Live should not be free (or, I guess one could argue everything should be free), but if it was free, it wouldn’t be the best online service that it is (and.. c’mon.. you know it is!)

Well Paco, you make a good point, and if it being free meant that it got shittier, no I wouldn’t support that, but in theory it should be free.
I’ll bet anything that they’ll eventually have to drop the price and their competitor’s get better and better. It’s like in the days when AOL was king. Eventually no one wanted to pay for it because there were so many better options.
