Street Fighter IV - Scans, Characters, and More
Famitsu.com has posted up the screenshots from their own magazine (here and here, if you receive a 404 error, click on your address bar and hit enter). For those who don’t read Japanese (me!), a Shoryuken.com forum member has posted a pretty decent translation of an interview with producer Yoshinori Ono. Keep on reading for the highlights from that interview:
Life, “Super” or “Ultra” combo, and a “Saving attack” feature. To quote Ono directly to help you better understand these modes, here is what he said: “The “saving system” is NOT intended to be a “one hit, match over” type of deal. Its intended to be different from SF3’s blocking system, a new “spice” that will be entirely unique to the SF4 experience. Regarding “Ultra Combos,” all I will say that it will be a fireworks display larger than super combos themselves. (laughs to himself)“
If you still cannot pull up the screens via Famitsu.com, check below for scans from the magazine. I am excited about this title based on the original 8 being included (SFIII was disappointing to me when it had come out). So far the newest screens are keeping me satisfied, however I keep hearing many complaints about this 2D/3D art style the game is using as well as the new character that looks like a SNK reject (I can semi-agree with that).
