Rock Band DLC Update: Week of 7-07-08
Man it’s been damned hot here. So hot that I could barely make myself sit in front of the computer and write updates instead of looking at porn. Anyway… this week’s Rock Band DLC brings us more Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rush. The tracks will be available for As usual, the tracks will cost $1.99 (160 Microsoft points) each and are not available in a discounted pack.
The songs included in this batch are:
* “Snow” (Hey Oh) Red Hot Chili Peppers
* “Tell Me Baby” Red Hot Chili Peppers
* “Closer to the Heart” Rush
* “Working Man” (Vault Edition) Rush
You might have noticed that Working Man was already available before, well this version is a master recording with an all new special solo only found (currently) in Rock Band. So I guess that’s a big screw you to people who already purchased the song. Yeah it’s nice that they’ve finally got Rush Masters as a cover artist could never truly capture the annoyingly high squeal of Geddy Lee, but it sucks donkey balls that they’ve already released the song.
Videos after the break!
“Snow” (Hey Oh) Red Hot Chili Peppers
Not a bad song by any means, in fact it’s one of the few Red Hot Chili Peppers songs that I kind of like. I think I’d like it more if I hadn’t heard it ten billion times on the radio though.
“Tell Me Baby” Red Hot Chili Peppers
I suppose if you like Red Hot Chili Peppers, you’re going to like this song. It’s got a pretty good hook, but I’m don’t know if I’m 100% on board. The good news is that it’s at least it’s not some stupid B side that nobody cares about. I hate that almost ever Rock Band release has one good and one crap release by an artist.
“Closer to the Heart” Rush
You know, I forget how many popular songs Rush had. I didn’t want this one until I remembered it. Sure it’s shitty Rush, but shitty Rush is damn fun on a music game.
“Working Man” (Vault Edition) Rush
Again, shitty Rush rules. If you haven’t already bought the other song and you need one, this might be the best bet.
