Holy balls, there’s some jawesome content on on the Rock Band 2 menu. The most notables are the first appearance of artists Bob Dylan, A/C D/C, and that band that goes around calling itself Guns ‘N Roses. The Guns ‘N Roses track is a little odd in that it’s the “premiere” of a song off the band’s Chinese Democracy album, which has been in the making longer than Duke Nukem Forever… just a little lame gamer humor here folks.
Overall it appears as if Harmonix is sticking with it’s overall eclectic assortment of songs. There’s a little bit of everything to cater to the biggest possible group possible. Personally, the “serious” rocker in me is ecstatic that we get to see Everlong, Alive, Chop Suey, and Ace of Spades. The douschebag inside me that loves crap songs is super excited to see Lump, Carry On My Wayward Son, Eye of the Tiger, and White Wedding.
The only bad news here is that now it appears that there will be a small fee associated with getting your old DLC from Rock Band to work on Rock Band 2. I’m thinking that isn’t going to go over very well with the gaming community, considering you’re only paying for the privilege to play the songs you already own. Let’s all hope that doesn’t happen, so we can all enjoy the beauty of this track list.
Now is the time I turn to you. What say you? Any favorites? Any songs you absolutely hate? Any you wish would be included?

Took them long enough to get to AC/DC.
Really, they should do a whole game on just AC/DC.

Seriously, anyone who thought that you were going to be able to transfer the songs from RB1 for free was being a little too optimistic.
They have to license this music per copy sold. If they let people copy it from the RB1 disc for free they wouldn’t be able to prove that everyone who did so had bought a copy of the game- you could just borrow a disc from a friend and suddenly you both have all of those songs.
This way they get around that issue you by selling you a new license for those songs on RB2. The fact that they’ve declared it’s going to be a negligible price (<$5) means that they’re not doing this for profit so much as to cover their asses.

Damn, Trevor got to what I was about to post. Yeah, its five bucks or less, and its just the disc songs, not the DLC.
But onto the list.
It is amazing.
The only thing that will get me to look at Guitar Hero right now is the fact that FINALLY let me use my Rock Band instruments, plus they have Jimi Hendrix and from what I hear…. TOOL!
