Gears of War sells 1,000,000 copies + Trilogy

Congratulations to Gears of War for selling 1 million copies and also being the most played game on Xbox Live at the moment (beating out the juggernaut that was Halo 2). Multiplayer games on Gears of War have become so popular, conversions from Xbox Silver to Xbox Gold have jumped up 50% in the last week, thanks to the 2-day free trial included with every purchase of Gears.

And the other bit of good news for Gears of War is it will be continued to two further sequels….let’s just hope the next two games have more of a story than the first one.
