Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Coming To Your PSP In June?
There were rumours that it had been cancelled, and pre-orders with deposits were being refunded at the back end of last year, but it seems Oblivion is indeed coming to the PSP, and sooner rather than later. The give away? Those nice folks at Amazon, who have a listing up on the site for the new PSP version of the game.
The listing on Amazon.com states:
“Oblivion comes to the PSP with all your favorite free-form gameplay, unprecedented graphics, cutting edge AI, character voices by acting legends Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter along with its award-winning soundtrack.
Gamers can choose to unravel Oblivion’s epic narrative at their own pace or explore the vast world in search of their own unique challenges. After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, the throne of Tamriel lies empty. With the Empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land laying waste to everything in their path.
To turn the tide of darkness, you must find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.”
You can pre-order the game now, although I’d personally wait until we get confirmation of the release from those nice guys at Bethesda.
It’s listed as selling for just $39.99, which is a bargain by anyone’s standards. Fans of the series desperate for a piece of hand-held action only have 6 months to wait, as the release date is listed as June 30th. I assume that’s 2008?!?
