EA made more on mobile games than on PSP, PS3 games
Either EA Mobile is booming or EA is really struggling to push PSP and PS3 games because EA made more money last quarter from their mobile games ($37 million) than from either PSP sales ($21 million) or PS3 sales ($17 million), and if you do the math you can see that EA made a combined $38 million between Sony’s platforms.
EA made the most this past year from their work with the Xbox 360, raking in $218 million. Surprisingly, the PlayStation 2 ranked higher than the Wii on EA’s figures, $73 million (PS2) to $59 million (Wii).
Now, I don’t know who you people buying these EA Mobile games are, but I’m thoroughly perplexed by you. Nothing against you folks, but I don’t see the point in playing a top-down mutation of Medal of Honor Airborne (or God of War, or Splinter Cell, or whatever). But hey, it’s your cash I guess.
